Sign Installer / Fabricator

Don Moore Signs (Closed)

Fort Smith, AR

2002 - 2003

I remembered going into Don Moore Signs as a young kid when my father raced ATVs. I remember it mostly, I believe, because it was a store full of stickers and they were capable of making any sticker you wanted. Little did I know that would have an impact on my career more then a decade later. Fresh out of college with a Graphic Design degree, I jumped at the opportunity to 'get my foot in the door' at Don Moore Signs. Unfortunate for me, they already had two amazing designers that had been with them for years.

Roles + Duties

Not being hired for computer work was a bummer, but I learned so much from those guys. My main responsibility was to install vinyl decals on a variety of substrates. Which included everything from metal real estate signs to the local police departments police cruisers. The job did involve other tasks like on-site installations and occasionally getting to help with the fabrication of some of the signs being produced.

Sign Installation + Fabrication
  • Weeded, app taped and applied cut sign vinyl to various substrates
  • Installed on-site signage at local organizations and businesses
  • Assisted with larger sign fabrication
